The Mabazza Foundation has been awarded $5,000 in general operating support to strengthen the projects, programs, partnerships, and everyday work that carry our mission into the community.
Five thousand reasons to keep building.
In June 2026, the Mabazza Foundation was named among 59 organizations receiving grants from the Asian Community Fund at the Boston Foundation.
The Asian Community Fund is dedicated to strengthening Asian American and Pacific Islander communities throughout Massachusetts. Its 2026 grantmaking round invested $635,000 in organizations advancing community well-being, belonging, opportunity, and long-term capacity.
For the Mabazza Foundation, this award is more than a line in a budget. It is an investment in continuity. It supports our ability to plan carefully, coordinate responsibly, develop meaningful projects, build trusted partnerships, and continue bringing art, dignity, and human connection into spaces where they are needed.
Supporting the living architecture of a mission.
Community work is often seen only at the moment it reaches someone: a painting, a wellness resource, a gathering, a public exhibition, or a compassionate connection.
Behind each visible moment is a quieter structure of planning, administration, communications, materials, outreach, logistics, relationship-building, and careful stewardship. General operating support strengthens that entire structure.
This grant is not limited to one isolated occasion. It helps sustain the organizational foundation beneath our continuing projects and programs, allowing the Mabazza Foundation to keep growing with purpose rather than simply moving from one moment to the next.

Supporting the development of art-centered projects for people and communities carrying illness, trauma, caregiving, survivorship, and emotional isolation.

These three principles shaped the Asian Community Fund’s 2026 grantmaking and closely reflect the kind of lasting community care the Mabazza Foundation seeks to cultivate.
Meeting difficult seasons with dignity, creative expression, emotional support, practical care, and the reminder that no person should be reduced to a diagnosis or circumstance.
Building relationships across communities and creating spaces where art becomes a meeting point for empathy, understanding, mutual care, and belonging.
Developing the organizational strength and durable systems needed to serve thoughtfully, steward resources responsibly, and continue the work beyond a single project or event.
Operating support does more than keep the lights on. It keeps the mission moving.
