The Experience

Where public space becomes a place to pause.

Healing Art at Winthrop Boston brings a selection of original Mabazza Foundation oil paintings into The Connector, the central gathering space at Winthrop Center.

The experience is designed for people moving through the city, stopping for lunch, meeting friends, attending a community gathering, or discovering something unexpected between work and home. For a few hours, the space becomes a polished pocket-gallery of color, memory, resilience, and care.

Guests are invited to view the artwork, learn about Mabazza Foundation's mission, make a gift, and inquire about selected pieces available for purchase, special Winthrop event pricing, or limited silent auction opportunities.

Why This Matters

Healing is not only medical. It is emotional, visual, and communal.

Mabazza Foundation believes art can change the emotional temperature of a room.

Many people facing cancer, chronic illness, grief, caregiving, disability, or recovery spend long seasons in spaces that feel clinical, stressful, or invisible. A painting does not solve those experiences, but it can soften them. It can open conversation. It can offer a breath.

The Experience

Not a booth. Not a table. A refined art moment inside a living city space.

The experience should feel quiet, polished, and intentional. More gallery whisper than street fair shout.

During the event, guests will be invited to experience a curated selection of 8 to 12 original works while enjoying the energy, hospitality, and gathering spirit of The Connector at Winthrop Center. As part of the We Give Back Series, Winthrop Center will also feature a special menu item created in honor of Mabazza Foundation. Throughout the month, each order of the featured dish will help support the Foundation's work bringing art, beauty, and emotional connection into spaces where people are healing, recovering, caregiving, and beginning again.

A painting can become a pause. A color can become a breath. A room can become a little less lonely.

The Exhibition Continues

Following the main gathering, a smaller selection of Mabazza Foundation paintings may remain on view at The Connector, extending the experience into the days that follow.

These works are meant to be discovered slowly. A painting seen in passing may become a reason to stop. A familiar color may feel different the second time. A quiet corner may become a small place of return.

In this way, Healing Art at Winthrop Boston continues as more than an event. It becomes a continuing invitation to notice, reflect, and reconnect.

For Collectors and Supporters

Selected works may be available for purchase or collector inquiry for a limited time after the event, including pieces offered through special Winthrop event pricing.

Guests interested in a particular painting are invited to inquire about its story, availability, and acquisition details.

Every purchase, donation, and inquiry supports Mabazza Foundation's mission to bring healing-centered art and wellness experiences to people affected by illness, recovery, caregiving, and isolation.

Mabazza Foundation

Beauty is not extra. Sometimes beauty is the room learning how to hold us.

Healing Art at Winthrop Boston invites the community to encounter original art not as decoration, but as care, presence, memory, and connection.
