The Gathering
Healing Art at Winthrop Boston brings Mabazza Foundation's original oil paintings into The Connector, the central gathering space at Winthrop Center.
Guests are invited to meet the artist, hear the personal story behind the Foundation, and learn how its mission uses art, community, and emotional connection to support cancer survivors and others moving through illness, caregiving, grief, and recovery.
Visitors may experience the artwork, contribute through the dedicated event campaign, inquire about an original painting, or explore eligible works through their individual product pages.
Why This Matters
Mabazza Foundation believes art can change the emotional temperature of a room.
Many people facing cancer, chronic illness, grief, caregiving, disability, or recovery spend long seasons in spaces that feel clinical, stressful, or invisible. A painting does not solve those experiences, but it can soften them. It can open conversation. It can offer breath, dignity, and a moment of return.
Programs and art experiences for survivors, caregivers, veterans, older adults, and people facing illness or isolation.
Original works and prints placed where beauty, dignity, and emotional connection matter.
Art-forward events that bring people together through story, memory, generosity, and shared presence.
Support for hospital, veteran, senior, and community wellness collaborations in Boston and beyond.
The Winthrop Center Moment
A refined art presence inside a living city space, designed for reflection, generosity, and discovery.
During the launch, guests can experience original works while enjoying the civic energy and hospitality of The Connector at Winthrop Center.
As part of The Connector's We Give Back series, selected food items will be designated to benefit Mabazza Foundation. A portion of those purchases will support the Foundation's work with cancer survivors, caregivers, and communities navigating recovery.
Collector Opportunity
Guests who discover the artwork at The Connector may use the collector code below for 35% off eligible works available directly through Mabazza Foundation.
Enter the code at checkout where available, or include it in an email inquiry. The offer is intended for The Connector community and may remain available through the final day of the extended display.
Availability, eligibility, and purchase arrangements can be confirmed directly with the Foundation.
Featured Auction Work
One painting will be offered for auction during the event: Heart in Color, a framed 23 × 30 inch oil on canvas in a floating black frame.
The winning bidder will take the framed artwork home. The piece carries the emotional center of the gathering: color as courage, feeling as radiance, and beauty as a visible form of healing.
Guests may view the artwork page for additional details and contact the Foundation with questions before or after the launch.
Ways to Support
Donations support Mabazza Foundation's art-based wellness work for people affected by cancer, chronic illness, recovery, caregiving, and isolation.
After the Launch
Following the August 5 gathering, selected Mabazza Foundation paintings will remain on view at The Connector for one to two weeks.
The extended display allows the work to be discovered slowly. A painting seen in passing may become a reason to stop. A familiar color may feel different the second time. A quiet corner may become a small place of return.
Eligible works will remain available for collector inquiry during the display period, including pieces offered through the WINTHROP collector code.
Every purchase, donation, and inquiry supports Mabazza Foundation's mission to bring healing-centered art and wellness experiences to people affected by illness, recovery, caregiving, and isolation.
Exhibition Preview
Ten works are presented below as the event preview. The final on-site installation will include 8 to 10 paintings, selected for scale, visual rhythm, availability, and the way the works speak to one another in the room.
