Founding Charter of the Mabazza Foundation
Inspiring Through Art and Resilience
Welcome to the Mabazza Foundation Gallery, where art and resilience meet to uplift and inspire.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to support cancer survivors by partnering with cancer survival support organizations and creating artwork that brings hope into the communities they serve.
This gallery represents more than a year of focused creative exploration and nearly five years since my pancreatic cancer diagnosis, a journey that revealed the transformative power of hope, reflection, and creative expression.
Mission
The Mabazza Foundation, established in 2024, is committed to fostering the understanding and appreciation of art and culture as meaningful coping mechanisms for those navigating cancer survivorship.
Through curated exhibitions and collaborative initiatives, the foundation raises awareness, generates funding, and creates opportunities for artists whose work supports emotional healing, resilience, and renewal. Each project exists not only to exhibit beauty, but to serve a deeper purpose: strengthening individuals and families walking through recovery.
About Uchenna, Primary Exhibitor / Creator
Uchenna’s work is rooted in conceptual expression, where the essence of an idea carries more weight than surface appearance. His art invites reflection on endurance, vulnerability, and the quiet strength that follows hardship.
For Uchenna, art is not simply a craft. It became a lifeline. During his ongoing journey with pancreatic cancer, creativity offered stability when certainty was absent. Research consistently shows that artistic engagement reduces stress, eases anxiety, and supports emotional well-being. For him, this was not theory. It was lived experience.
Through his work, pain is transformed into purpose.
The Original Oil Paintings
Digitally Conceived. Physically Realized.
These original works emerge from a deeply personal landscape shaped by survival, endurance, and quiet transformation.
Each composition is first digitally conceived and constructed as an inner vision, formed through memory, emotion, and reflection during the lived journey of cancer survivorship. The digital space becomes a studio of remembrance where feeling is given structure and light is given intention.
From this interior beginning, the images are translated into physical reality through close collaboration with a master oil painter. Layered pigment, tactile brushwork, and luminous surface depth transform what was once intangible into something enduring and touchable. What began as light becomes weight. What began as thought becomes presence.
The resulting paintings are singular objects.
Every mark of oil, every fracture of light, and every field of color carries the gravity of lived experience. Figures appear suspended between rupture and renewal. Bodies hold memory while reaching toward restoration. The emotional intensity is intentional, inviting the viewer to pause, to feel, and to recognize their own story within the surface.
Together, these works form a meditation on survivorship not as an ending, but as a passage into deeper awareness, gratitude, and human connection.
Limited Edition Canvas Prints
Accessible Works with Lasting Meaning
In addition to original oil paintings, the Mabazza Foundation offers carefully produced limited edition canvas prints.
These works are created using premium archival materials and museum-quality canvas to preserve the integrity, depth, and tonal richness of the original compositions. Each print is produced with attention to detail and durability, allowing collectors to bring meaningful art into their homes while supporting the foundation’s mission.
Limited editions make the work more accessible while maintaining artistic value and intention. Every purchase directly supports the foundation’s efforts to expand survivorship-centered art initiatives and bring hope to individuals navigating their own healing journeys.
The Vision
This project is more than a gallery. It is a beacon for those facing uncertainty.
Each artwork reflects resilience and renewal, reminding us that strength often emerges quietly and that beauty can be born from the most difficult seasons of life. By supporting the Mabazza Foundation, you help amplify the voices of survivors and extend light into communities that need it most.
