The Inner Life,
Given Form.

Art that Holds More
than the Eye Can See

Between
Vulnerability
and Resolve.

Paintings that explore the emotional life beneath appearances. Fear and beauty occupy the same space. Hope persists without certainty. What cannot easily be spoken becomes color, gesture, and presence.

The Artist’s Statement
—
The Courage of Continuing

There is a kind of courage that begins
where certainty ends.

Across these works, suffering, beauty, and hope remain in conversation. The paintings give form to the moments when a person must continue without knowing what comes next—and to the extraordinary depth of feeling within that choice.

The Artist

The Life
Beneath
the Surface.

Uchenna
Obinabo-Mabazza

The work begins with a feeling that has not yet found its image.

Uchenna Obinabo-Mabazza’s practice explores the tension between what is visible and what is privately endured. A lifted face, a solitary vessel, or a figure dissolving into color becomes a way to approach experiences that resist a simple account.

His experience of cancer and recovery informs the work’s emotional depth. Fear, tenderness, grief, and the desire to continue coexist within the image. Beauty carries the weight of what has been lived.

Scale, gesture, darkness, and light shape that encounter. Each painting is conceived to stand independently—as a complete visual world and a lasting presence in a collector’s home.

Inside the Atelier

From Vision
to Canvas.

An original composition.
A collaborative studio practice.
A physical life in paint.

The Conception

The artist develops original compositions using digital image-making, photo editing, and drawing tools. Form, color, and gesture are refined around the emotional intention of the work.

The Translation

Selected compositions are realized as oil paintings by professional studio painters working under his artistic direction. The originating vision guides their translation into pigment and surface.

The Encounter

The painted work brings texture, scale, and material presence into the experience. Its surface invites a closer reading, while the complete composition holds its place across a room.
